I am very excited to see this development. As Eagle Scout, I am a STRONG advocate of the positive influence Scouting has on youth. I directly attribute obtaining both my wife and my current job as an electrical engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft to obtaining the rank of Eagle.

Anyway, the Boy Scouts have introduced a new merit badge for Robotics. A page summarizing this can be seen at Boy’s Life Magazine. I’m incredibly excitged to see this, and will likely become a merit badge counselor for it through my troop, when I move back into town.
